The Cape Fear Region is celebrating the 2016 Bike to Work Week to promote bicycling as an alternative mode of transportation, and to recruit members of the community as regular bicycle commuters.  Join the celebration by riding your bike to work at least one day this week.

      • 38 area employers represented
      • 2,956 total miles biked by the group
      • 24 miles biked by the average participant throughout the week
      • 148 gallons of gas saved
      • $1,714 saved in commuting costs
      • 147,800 estimated calories burned
      • 42 pounds potentially lost

Police support from City of Wilmington, New Hanover County, and the Town of Wrightsville Beach provide participants with a safe ride.
